Narcissus

Narcissus was a hunter famed for his unmatched beauty. He cruelly rejected all those who fell in love with him, including the nymph Echo.
To punish him, the gods made him fall in love with his own reflection in a pool of water. He was so consumed by his unattainable reflection that he pined away and died at the edge of the water.
According to one legend, the beautiful flower named Narcissus sprang up exactly where he died
